I'll quote " the most dangerous thing about bullshit, is that it makes sense in the moment."

A testament to the brilliant directing of David Fincher. He can take a boring mundane topic about starting a business and make it a compelling drama.

Sean Parker now: *"Change it to 'Meta'."*

The way the music cuts off after he says "a BILLION dollars" then carries on after he says "and that shut everybody up" was my favourite part of this scene. So perfect.

As obnoxious as Sean Parker was in this scene, he was absolutely right about beating the record companies, about Facebook's overall catch the biggest fish possible strategy, and about dropping "the" from Facebook.

Timberlake really was inspired casting.

The way Timberlake said, “..and Mark”. was perfection. It made Mark feel important, while also signaling to us that Sean Parker knew that if he recruited Mark to his ideology of FaceBook, it would be check and mate, as the movie later showed.

The beauty of this scene is the fundamental law of storytelling; show don't tell.
Before we see Shawn, or even hear his name, we get a feel and a sense of it: his tardiness, Eduardo's response in nervousness and 'jealousy, ' Mark's excitement -> all these build-up tells us Shawn is a key figure, and likely a key person in this whole scene + story.
And when 2:13 hits, it's a massive build-up revealing what character he is; showy, confident, charistmatic, talking about his achievements with a mysterious undertone, yet this scene is not about that or Facebook.
This scene was about Eduardo, conflicting with Shawn, and then with the other 2; the evolving relationship because of Shawn -> all done in about 6 mins or less.

I can't take my eyes or ears off this scene for even a second, miss such scripts these days

I love how he asks the lady of the group what she wants to drink, and then orders that for everyone.

a billion dollars isn't cool, you know what's cool? A TRILLION DOLLARS... a trillion dollar valuation, and that's where you're headed!

1:05
Ed: "He's 25 mins late"
Mark: "He founded Napster when he was 19, he can be late"
Ed: "He's not a God"
Mark: "Then what is he?"
Ed: "He's 25 mins late"

Top writing.

That's funny that Sorkin did a cameo

How could you not be suspicious of sleazeball like Sean?
He sounds like a comic book villain...

Sean was actually very polite, had come to the meeting prepared and already knew their first names, and made up for being late by picking up the tab.

Fun fact: Andrew Garfield and Jesse Eisenberg are actually talking to Aaron Sorkin (the screenwriter of the movie) in the beginning of this clip!

Trent Reznor's soundtrack was perfect.

Funny how Mark did not want ads and now Facebook is nothing but ads

3:35 “whatever is going to trip you up, you’ve done already” the lady’s face turned really disturbed really fast, like “I’m here for an apple-tini not a redpill about privacy”
