1. working = putting effort that something you WILL achieve
2. making experiences > tv
3. scrolling = lack of control
4. achieve things in real life than on games
5. spend time with loved ones

my father always said "work without looking at the clock so you can spend without looking at your wallet"

when you said 'in life, with all the things that are out of our control, why would i want to put one more thing outside of my control?' i had to pause the video to process that, it blew my mind. social media has such a grasp on people that we don't even realise that we're being controlled by it, every night i love laying down and watching youtube after work instead of doing something meaningful. and what for? why do i give youtube control over my life? when did that happen? and why did i not notice? i'm subscribing asap.

Hi, Ami!

Yesterday I spent 24 hours without using my phone. Recently I haven't had any motivation for the simplest activities, so I decided that I would spend this day taking advantage of every moment for myself. I learned that every time I sat on the bed to relax with my phone in my hand as usual, I simply didn't do anything useful, that I did it out of habit, because I was bored. Now I know that when I am bored or tired, it will be better to use this time differently. I can admit that this day will remain in my memory as one of the best days of my life. I felt like I was living every second without interruption for some useless information from YouTube or Tik Tok.

I always like to imagine my life as if I'm playing the Sims 4. It makes doing work, gaining skills, and just generally improving myself more fun

I agree with the need for the meaning part. But the rest of points depends on a person. I love books and shows that let me experience different lives, worlds, and emotions.

Here's the thing you said that gave me my aha moment: You said, believe that what you want you can achieve; all you have to do is continue to put in the *action* to get there...not the *effort* but the *action* .
Effort, for me, feels like a painful and stressful striving with an uncertain result; action, on the other hand, is just a "these are the steps" kind of calm practicality that has no emotional charge, and carries no dread of failure. That's a big mindset shift for me. Thank you.

1. work = moving toward something you already know you can achieve
2. watching tv = not giving yourself memories
3. scrolling = lack of control
4. video games = holding me back from levelling up in life
5. time with loved ones = rest and recharge

to say "you recharge while being with people" is such an extroverted thing to say.

This is so true, it's all about mindset. I still remember the first year of covid being so productive for me as opposed to others. I am in the last year of my high school and i am craving that discipline that i had when i was just 13 years old. It makes me realize that if my younger self can do it then surely there is something wrong with my approach towards life in general and i must fix it. Thanks for that awakening. Only the right mindset can yield something fruitful, preach that!

I've been off of social media since June and it's been really life-changing. I only go on YouTube to still feel a sense of community, but also be more intentional with what I am exposed to. I find that being in this self-improvement niche encourages me to think likewise. You really are as strong-minded as the people you surround yourself with or the concepts that float around your everyday life! The path towards my goals that have felt so out of reach became much clearer when I removed all of the unnecessary distractions that were controlling my life.

My dream was to become a dentist, so I worked hard throughout high school. Unfortunately, I didn't get the results I needed on my finals and got waitlisted. I've been watching your videos through summer break, and I'm ready to make an academic comeback this year! I'm gonna redo my exams and ACE them. I definitely believe that I can do anything I set my mind to as long as I value the 24 hours I have every single day! In my culture, and throughout my life, I've valued my family a lot, and I think I struggled to balance school and relationships. But I finally found a youtube who actually has similar values as me! Thank you for sharing the things you know. If I get into dentistry, I'll really feel like I owe a lot of it to you!

This is a great and truly eye opening video it also links to religion and why many religious people are successful because they have purpose and meaning in life and feel as though they are “belonging and serving to something beyond themselves” which is why they are often content with themselves and others. It truly is mind blowing and we don’t understand the potential that we have hidden away. Thanks Amy love u♥️♥️♥️

She resonates every point that even David Goggins also said.
1. Do something meaningful - Find your vulnerabilities and start acting.
2. Meaning comes from pride and desire to achieve your best version - The purpose is always you.
3. Bond with other people and get off addictions - You get lazy and fall for this because you forgot how bad it was for you. It's an practice you do everyday.
