Mark repairs a 1983 vintage Digital Delay Line effects unit. It powers up, but has no output, and as usual, has plenty of problems.

The caps are always the first to be suspicious over with old audio gear, and from 1983, it's a trooper for lasting that long.

I’ve not come across the Dynacord DDL 12 and after some searching I find it’s from a German company and they were rare in the USA it appears. I would like to hear it on an analog synth from the same era, like an OB-XA or Model D. Thanks for the fun repair video!

Haha! "Oh no. They're funny-sized shafts."

Was attempting to fix the pots on a very-boutique bass's active circuitry, manufactured in 1996, with extremely confined innards. Encountered exactly the same problem in the extreme, in that Vishay/Alps/whoever-it-was would be pleased to sell me replacements, their still having the design on file, providing I order 20, 000 pots in total. Absolute unobtanium, otherwise.

Seems to get that pot to work the switch appears to need to be thrown that direction???😊

May I ask what socket set you are using. I’m having trouble finding ones that work with long shaft pots. Thanks.
