This is extremely true. It’s just a truth we don’t want to accept. The couple you described being married 20 years sounds exactly like the situation I was in. People think because you’ve been married a long time that things are great when it often has more to do with what you choose to put up with and when it finally ends it’s because the lightbulb pops on in your head realizing you don’t HAVE to put up with foolishness.

One of the reason why I stop dating was because I realize that I was always attracting man that doesn’t deserve me or don’t even want me . I was always the push over trying to show my value until I realize that I need to reconnect to myself first, heal from my trauma because the emptiness is real, the damages are real, I want to be happy and connect with my godly spouse, I never felt connected with any of those man and it’s the first thing that alarm me . I was liked you are not yourself, work on you and you will not have to chase happiness .
