Changed my Volvo to Signature Series Fuel Efficient. Synthetic.

Planning on running it about 75-80, 000 miles to coincide with the end of my extended warranty before eventually transitioning to every 100, 000 miles (severe service is 50, 000 miles).

I tried telling a mechanic one time all fluids have a service life, he said if it's sealed for life you never have to touch it. 🤔🙄

I think my 2017 Camry has a sealed transmission not sure I’d love to do an Amsoil fluid change on that!

I had the dealership put in Amsoil synthetic oil and filter after 250 miles they said it didn't need to I said you paying for it my Explorer st runs alot quieter and smoother

Was told that the manual gearbox of my car was a “sealed unit” and does not need any oil during its lifetime. Yes if it’s breaks no point repairing it’s internals but with the oil I knew that was total nonsense, they want the box to break so I can get a new car, as putting a new box is totally not worth the Labour and parts cost.

And low and behold when drain day the oil was dark and full of residue after 135k miles.
