Where I live you really shouldn't try growing cherries, but this spring I planted the only low chill varieties out there (Minnie Royal, Royal Lee, Crimson Royal, Lapins). We will get the problem is the humidity that comes with the heat here in summer.

Love all your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I live in Lithuania and I am setting my small home orchard of sweet cherries. Got Lapin (G5), Stella (Mahaleb), Sweetheart (Mahaleb), Tamara (Mahaleb), kordia (G5). (All young trees 2-3 years old). Learning the KGB pruning from you just now I feel like I didn’t prune well before. Scared to cut back the branches to 5-7 inches regrow everything, scared that not new branches would come.

Trying to add 4-5 new trees and not sure about rootstocks. Do you advise to stay on Mahaleb or shall I try Colt ? I am looking for Celeste, sunburst
