When I fired mine out of the box it was tuned to about 1100FPS. I didn't make through a single mag before the air bottomed to 100. I had to re-tune it to a respectable 820 FPS which I find to be the perfect spot for power and air economy. I can then make fine adjustments using the hammer spring and apature control. As far as accuracy? It's know those round balls that grow on trees (forgot what they're called :) ) They're about the size of a golf ball. I hit those on a near-by tree and watch them explode into a mist at about 50-60 yards shooting upward.

Thank you for a easy laid back yet informative review, you have me sold on purchasing one soon. I’ve yet to acquire an FX mostly the pricing of them. I do understand that attention to detail and quality comes with a price, but the price point of the Dreamline is very reasonable and so close in capability of its higher priced airguns in the family. I as well like your background in the video, simple, rustic and perfect. I’ve only watched your videos a few times but will be watching many more I hope. Northernairhead

That scope height is crazy high. And scope looks drooped. It drooped 20 moa by chance?

The air shop I bought the Tac Compact from told me that they did not notice any appreciable change in fpe by adding the plenum. I am told, however, that two of these plenums can be stacked end to end. They simply screw into each other. Ever try that?

All things being equal in terms of barrel length, price, high power/FPE then FX Dreamline compact lite is a better choice than the Brocock Atomic XR. Install the power plenum on the FX and you get 45 FPE of energy in 22 cal and 65 FPE in 25 cal. I dont know how FX does it, but this is way higher than the Brokcock in terms of power. Another option would be a new or used FX impact compact which has even more power than the dreamline. Wouldn't you agree?

Small and compact. I live out here in New Mexico. About a mile from the Rio grand. It would be so nice to put that in my backpack and take it down the river. While riding the mountain bike. In other words...out of sight out of mind. Won't scare anyone. My other bull pups are too heavy and too big to fit in a backpack. How do you target anything under 30 or so yards with the scope mounted a foot above the barrel ? Seems a bit much to me for practical shooting

Planum will not fit for DreamTac Compact, due to the barrel. you need to change the slimmer barrel for fitting the planum.

since fx started putting only the ultra light barrel system on the dreamline and crown they are CRAP just look at the barrel and your zero will move not to mention the harmonics in the fac versions, the groups at 30 yards are well over 1/2" with any pellet but the rifles with the reg barrel system are all one hole 30yd groups fx should be ashamed of that crap and they even make you buy a barrel band at an aditional cost rediculouse
