[LIVE] Day Trading | A CRAZY Day With 8 Trades!!!

Being a day trader can be pretty crazy at times. Each day is a new day and you never quit know what the stock market is going to present you. With that being said, everyone’s day trading strategy is different, so perhaps for you, you look at the title and see “eight” and think, that’s all? I totally understand where you are coming from, but for me, doing eight trades is well above what I’m normally doing! If you are someone who likes live trade videos that show lots and lots of trades, then you’ll certainly enjoy this one. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a day trader and enjoy the challenge of outwitting the stock market; however, days like this almost become “not fun” because for my strategy, they seem a bit too crazy. There’s also that very fine line of “over-trading” that we all as day traders need to be aware of. Oftentimes it can be a very fine line that is hard to see, but we need to try our best to see it as over-trading can cause a whole lot of pain! Overall though, the video also shows you why it is so important that you develop a VALID strategy that you can have confidence in. When you have valid strategies, you’re going to be better prepared for the crazy days like this one was!

What's up Clay, Definitely a choppy market lately, scalping is the only way to go sometimes. Gain's have been getting chopped in half for me if I don't close positions quick. You are my Fav trader on here for obvious reasons because of your transparency and risk management. Also fellow Michigan guy over here . Yeah! Overtrading. I had over 160 positions open today, but I am scalping all day long. Bunch of low risk scalps with really high probability but small reward each.

I’m sure I’m not as experienced as you, but I believe the follow-through that you are looking for isn’t likely to happen within 1 minute or less which seems to be how long your trades are open for. Maybe a lower position size and not scalping so fast Will get you the follow-through you’re looking for

Hi Clay, Can you help me with that "problem"? I just had it yesterday. I know you are using Lightspeed, but maybe..
I use IBKR, and this is just happen yesterday, and im so nervous. I made a perfekt setup, traded Macys. On Market open i was ready to long at $26, 10 (26, 04 was my support, and 26, 07 was the low, so i was very close). I use Hotkeys and Market Order. Dont like limit order. When i clicked on Buy, a window showed up, and said that "In accordance with our regulatory obligations as a broker, we will initially cap (or limit) the price of your Limit Order (which was actually Market) to 26, 50 or a more agressive price still within your specified limit price."

I called IBKR support, they said it is because of Price Cap.
I use them since 2 years, but i never met with this Price Cap thing.
I thought it was some glitch, so a minute later i clicked on buy again. And again nothing happen. Than it placed my (market) order 2 minutes later on 26, 40.
Support told me, that i have to chat with them, or call them if i wanna "remove" Price Cap.
Every seconds count for us, how?
This is something new for me, can you please explain what that Price Cap is?

Clay don't you have a written game plan before the markets open if you are going to scalp then stick with it. Everytime I go against my written plan I lose

Why don't you use a Volume Average to signal your entries? The price does not move for you because there was no Volume first to justify the entry.
