We should be able to deflect weapon throws with light attacks, creating a RPS situation, since light attacks beat weapon throws, weapon throws beat signatures and signatures beat light attacks. Doing this would make the game more tactical and would solve the weapon throws problem

It’s crazy seeing all this commotion about weapon throws. I’ve been throwing my weapon at least 30 times a match since I first started playing. I always thought it was unique and a good way to keep people honest.

What if the weapon gets destroyed after it connects with a player more than twice, so you have to choose what’s more important to you

I know the addenda is on weapon throws but nerfing unarmed will be a problem for weapon starving it completely negates skill play.

I feel like they should make it to where picking up a thrown weapon has nlag so then weapon combos will he taken out but you can still force interaction. I also think they should take away some of the knock-back so they aren't so overpowered off stage

They only way to nerf them imo, is not being able to pick them up again, either that or remove the momentum from dash weapon throwing if all weapon throws would be slow it wouldnt be a problem

I agree with cosolix' plan with the nerf, make it so you cant pickup the weapon after it hits or if it doesnt youd deal less damage with the weapon(not the throw, but with nlight, slight...) and the more you weapon throw the less damage it gives, maybe not the weapon throw itself but only if the weapon hits the ground or smt

7:48 the problem is that weapon throws can also FORCE passive play, because they put so much pressure in neutral you sometimes dont want to attack first, and you are also encouraged to wait and bait the weapon throw instead of approaching

also another big problem with weapon throws is how much force they have, if you throw your weapon/spike ball after a dash you have an move thats way stronger than it should be, this is also a big problem offstage, imo if recoveries were cancelled by weapon throws, the player should get their recovery back
bh already has a really risky offstage that rewards/punishes you too much for doing the right/wrong thing respectively, weapon throws enhance that by allowing the player to setup lose/lose scenarios

Pro tip if u dont wanna be cancer like snowy. Only weapon throw if ur opponent is passive so u can knock him off balance so u can get a combo

By the way, the weapons *do* have different throw properties. Well, only spear and hammer. Spear is thrown further based on charge, and hammer is thrown... Not further. All other weapons are identical to each other though

I think a cool idea is to make thrown weapons go back to their original state when they appear on stage ( that flame sword thing ), meaning if you are unarmed and someone throws their weapon you can catch it, and it also helps by giving all the weapons an identical hitbox.

A slower weapon throw will always be better in 1v1, imagine having that long giant lingering hitbox that sends you nowhere and setup perfectly into combo. I know kb increase with speed but than with your argument of bigger weapons should go slower, well they should do more damage and knock back or at least equivalent from the same throw.

I think weapon throw is what make brawlhalla unic with movement and competitive items.

How about being able to pick enemy thrown weapon (like gadgets), the downside? Being limited in the move set (can't signatures).

Also make dashes being toggle by double tapping A or D and bring back direcional dodges.

This game would be amazing with these changes.

If you new unarmed then you also make it harder for you to stop a weopen juggle witch also uses weopen throughs to prevent a weopen from spawning. Nerfing unarmed just makes a disadvantage more of a disadvantage witch brawlhalla doesn't need and makes it more so that the best player wins but whoever get the weopen putting them in advantage state wins
