Television, Marquee Moon, Live CBGB February 18, 1976

RIP Tom Verlaine. This is from a series of cassette recordings known as the SBD collection. Tom announces that they are going to finish their set and then Talking heads will be back, and then they'll be back around 1 (am). This is from the period right before they became more well known, as the crowd is still just a group of people in a bar. Recordings from later in 1976 attest to their growing reputation. The person holding the cassette player moves n front of Tom's amp during his first solo.
