7:05 That's Matthias Steiner from Germany. He won gold in weightlifting in the 105+ kg category. He promised his wife that he would win gold before she passed away. Now that he was the Olympic Champion back in 2008 in Beijing, his wife is definitely proud of him.

This compilation beautifully showcases the moments when sportsmanship transcends competition, reminding us all of the universal values that bind us together, whether on the field or at the range. Truly inspiring stuff

I love seeing professional athletes take care of disabled kids and adults. Athletes have no idea what it means to them! Thank you thank you thank you! Pay it forward! ❤

I know people won't give to flips about this, but when someone chokes on their tongue, it means that someone is unconscious, and their tongue is becoming floppy when relaxed. However, with this fact, I can clear this up, the tongue is attached and cannot be physically swallowed, it can just become relaxed to the point where it can block the airways, thus preventing oxygen from reaching the brain. Now that's taken care of, whoever is reading this, you can go back to what you were doing before seeing this comment.

Absolutely love it when people show humanity before animosity.

I absolutely love the pro athletes that do so much for kids & adults with disabilities. When you are born with a disability life is already hard. The athletes have the ability to make dreams come true & I have the most respect for the pros that prioritize their fans, especially the ones that have disabilities. Love it! The athletes that do show so much love to the fans have the biggest hearts & you can tell they were raised right by their mama. Their fame hasn't gone to their heads & they go all out for all their fans. I think it's great.
I also love any & all athletes that have great sportsmanship for their fellow athletes regardless of what team they are on. The respect shown to fellow teammates & opponents is the greatest sportsmanship there is. I have the highest respect for the athletes that have that level of sportsmanship. It shows that they have compassion & empathy for a fellow human being. Something the whole world needs more of.

I believe the runner who finished last by a long time, in the rain, actually received a grand from her country for showing so much determination and not giving up. She may have come in last, but she still made her country proud.

Edit: "a blind boy" 😂

There are alot of people in all sports that do not showcase this level of respect. That is a shame, but at the same time shows you the people who can compete at the highest level and still show that respect and sportsmanship are values you should hold high.

How they are beloved by all fans shows that most people hold these values as well, even if they aren't aware of it all the time.

I was there in my hometown Cincinnati when Damar Hamlin got hurt, the stadium was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I was so honored and proud to be apart of Cincinnati and a Bengals fan that night, nothing but love and prayers for Damar and the Entire Bills Mafa.... WHO-DEY!!!

We live in such a world today, that almost nothing acts, counts as heroic.

The one at 01:24 in the wheelchair is Rob Burrows, the former Leeds Rhinos and England and Great Britain rugby league player. He was diagnosed with MND (as well call it in the UK or Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease in the USA). The one high fiving him and carrying him is his best mate and fellow former Leeds Rhinos and England and Great Britain rugby league player Kevin Sinfield.

You can hit a winning home run, score the winning goal, but the real heroes of the game pay attention to their fans. Going to a game is expensive & without fans, there is no team.

I prefer the moments of good sportsmanship videos…the disabled fan videos feel like inspiration p*rn to me. But the athlete and toddler amputees “fist”bumping has got to be one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. The baby clearly recognized that her arm was like his and was thrilled

Although only a few seconds, the Damar Hamlin hit will forever haunt my memory. As a Bills fan, that was a handful of days that the world stood on edge strictly because an athlete almost died from a typical hit. The outpouring of support to Buffalo as a whole was incredible and I stand by the comment that the outpouring of support is what saved his life (along with all trainers on site)
