Dear Halidon Music!
Just sharing a little story. I am from Pakistan. When I was a kid (probably 7 or 8 years old), I read about some classical musicians in a text book and it grabbed my attention. However, I was unable to listen any single piece as this genre of music is not available in my country. But the story remained fresh in my mind. A few years later, I had a chance to listen to a few classical music pieces and I instantly fell in love with these. It was on a channel and I tried to order the CDs but they weren't delivering it to my country. Time went on, the internet came and I tried to search for the music but it was all cluttered but I was able to find a few pieces of my choice. I stopped the search as I was busy in my life. A few years back, I found your channel and a childhood dream came true. Your platform provided an organized approach (e.g. Name of the Musicians, titles of the music pieces e.t.c.) to that unique genre of music. I regularly wait for your uploads and enjoy the music. A sincere thanks for all of your efforts 🙂♥️

The first time father heard classical music was at the end of WWII when the Allied officers and German officers were invited to a concert. My dad never forgot that night which brought together former enemies and gave them common ground. He said many of the attendees wept. When Dad came home classical music eventually became available on recordings and from then on it filled our home especially on weekends. Oddly enough, many of the friends of my siblings loved to come to our home in the 70s, and their fondest memories are how relaxed they felt listening to “that beautiful music”. My dad died at 91 in .2008, but when I listen to this elegant, exquisite music it’s as though Dad came for a visit, and it’s a heavenly one. Thank you for making that possible.

Dear Nasdah: your story (and Halidon’s reply) moved me. Thanks for your insights. Many memories, I’m sure, were called upon; to remember when they first heard a particular song or aria or theme and were fascinated by it. As with you, the music has surely never left their mind. (And never call me Shirley)
