Making a Large Maple Platter - Woodturning, Art

A friend asked me to make a 16 inch decorative platter for his home. He wanted it to be an art piece. I used a piece of figured maple and scraps of walnut for the legs.

Beautiful, as usual Cam! BTW stuck lids are what channels locks are for. Or you can get mad at it and smack with a BFH! LOL

Use Channel Locks to open the danish oil can. Those cans are always hard to open after a while. Nice platter but I’m surprised you didn’t try to save move wood from that slab to make more.
