My favourite palette is in your bottom 5. Viseart petit pro 3 is my go to when I travel and I also use it quite frequently at home. The pans are small but so are my brushes because I have small, hooded eyes.
I'm loving palette month. It's reminding me to go look in my collection instead of buying new stuff.

I'm a huge Natasha denona fan. I especially like that the shadows in most of her pallettes can be rearranged

I have 10 high end and luxury palettes. My favourite is the ND Sunrise palette, which has an empty pan and many dips. The next favourite is my Lancome star palette from last year's holiday box. My least favourite could be considered controversial in YouTube land - Pat McGrath... Fall out is nonstop.

I think the only palette that I have that would be considered luxury is the Natasha Denona five-pan Cupid palette, which I got for a really discounted price through a BoxyCharm sale that non-subscribers could participate in. I think I'm going to pick up some Viseart palettes during their Black Friday sale this year.

I love the Cashmerie & Violette palettes from viseart too👏🏽👏🏽
Weirdly I don’t reach for larger palettes, I did declutter my glam palette & my motherships, it’s like the prettier they are I avoid using them 🥹
I find I use the ND minis and the smaller 6 pan (old releases) from PMG a whole lot more.
The soft cashmere dior quint is also beautiful 🙈

I have had my eye on the Dior “ Soft Cashmere” for a while and to purchase it before the end of the year.

Hi Maaike this is not an area of makeup where I have much to talk about tbh. Viseart isn't much more expensive than the likes of UD or Too Faced in my experience, yet the shadows perform on me much better. That's why I own a few bits from this brand and nothing from the others mentioned. I'm sure I have had eyeshadows from Chanel and Dior years ago, but both are long ago decluttered due to age. CT is just so overpriced for what you get, I can't bring myself to buy her eyeshadows and PM is OTT for me. Natasha Denona I still want to try and am waiting on a quint I love the colour story of. I'm on a budget and whilst I will save up for something I really love the look of, there are limits and PM is just more than I would ever pay for eyeshadow. The only really expensive palette that's on my wishlist is the Scott Barnes cooler toned palette, but I still have stuff from Viseart on there too. I have always loved makeup, but my preference has always been to pay a bit more for excellent complexion products, whereas colour products can be found in a variety of price points. At 50 with very dry skin and both rosacea/eczema, I often find I need to spend more on a foundation, concealer and powder to really make my skin look it's best. Blush and eyeshadow I don't really need from luxury brands to look decent. We all have different priorities and spending habits, but this isn't something I'm going to invest in. The video is interesting as to what has/hasn't seemed worth the money though. Best wishes.

It's weird to me to think about Viseart as a luxury brand because those small palettes can be relatively affordable compared to Pat/Charlotte/Dior.. Especially because the formula in the smaller and larger palettes are all comparable and in the Edit palettes you also get a larger variety of shades to work with.
On of the best eyeshadow brands ever 😍 (imo)

I want that Nocturnal Nirvana palette so bad!! I’ve been looking for it on Mercari for so long.

I like the ND Love more than the Retro especially the shimmer tones and colour story being more interesting. And the orchid creme to matte is a beautiful purple. Both don't have the best shimmers though compared to what you can get elsewhere. I combined them into one adding higher impact shimmers from other palettes

Hi, with the fall update, catrice is doing your favourite Natasha denona mini retro....

I agree 💯 that Natasha is the BEST luxury makeup company out there! At least with eyeshadows. Pat has the best complexion products I think.

I prefer Natasha Denona over Path McGrath, although PMG is very good quality as well. Generally like Viseart. Had some Estée Lauder in the Christmas blockbuster which I dislike and immediately decluttered. Thin formula and very meh colour stories (what we call old ladies makeup (coming from someone who would fit into their target group). Never saw the value for money in the Chanel, Lançome, Dior, Tom Ford and similar highend eyeshadow quads. Not impressed with what I tried from Charlotte Tilbury either, a lot look so alike and I refuse the pay €50 for a quad when I can have a Natasha Denona midi palette for €65 which I know I will prefer quality wise as well.

Has anyone tried the Dior Backstage palettes? I have the Plum Neutrals one and find it quite disappointing (lack of pigmentation). However, looking at reviews online everyone seems to love them, I don’t get it.

Feeling awkward because I came here to trash the Dior Kashmir palette 🤣. For some background info I used to travel a lot for work so I am used to owning small palettes only. Therefore size is not an issue for me. But when I get a 5 pan palette I am expecting to get 2-3 looks out of it. With kashmir everything ended up being one colour. Also their gliterry ones were leaving glitter all over the place. I'm not very skilful, so that also played a role, but that's why I thought an expensive palette would help me. I don't want to be putting much effort for expensive products.

When it comes to formula, in my opinion I think Natasha Denona is the most consistent on the high-end side, I even prefer it to Pat McGrath and I've never tried her eyeshadows before.

The packaging of Pat turns me off. The outerbox looks stunning but I don't like to get them in and out of the box and the palette package is nice but not stunning. Do you have packaging that turns you off or on to buy a palette?

I don't think I have any luxury brands in my collection! I would like to try the ND Glam palette, and the Viseart palettes, but really I have so much eyeshadow that I can't justify buying more right now! I don't know what it is about "Chaaar-lotte Tilbury" (sings in Theresa is Dead voice), but I just don't want to try her products at all. I find her boring.
