If you're interested in comparing Emirates First Class 777 vs A380/777 Business Class - then this video is for you! We flew Business Class on both the A380 and 777 planes and then enjoyed Emirates First Class on the 777 plane as well thanks to my points hacking.

*I meant to say a380 - not 38 - in the intro... my bad!

How to Use Credit Cards to Fly First Class: What Credit Cards I Use

We flew Business and First Class from Dusseldorf to Bangkok.

Here's what you get along with your First or Business Class Ticket:
- Car Transportation to the Airport
- Lounge Access
- Car Transportation to Your Accommodation

Which Plane Had the Best Amenities?
I definitely think the A380 had better amenities and bigger seats, as well as being a bit newer.
The 777 had smaller seats and the technology on the plane was outdated.

What Do You Get on the Plane?
- toiletry kit with Bulgari products (different for men and women)
- socks, slippers, and eye mask
- an open bar on the A380 with cocktails and snacks
- pajamas

I upgraded our flights from Business to First Class on the flight from Dusseldorf to Bangkok for 45,000 points per person.

What to Expect from the First Class Lounge
This lounge was more like a restaurant where you have to order food using a QR code. It was very quiet and private compared to the Business Class lounge.
Don't fill up too much here since the menu options on the plane are great.

How Much Would This First Class Have Cost Without Points?
If I hadn't used points to upgrade our flight, this one-way First Class flight would have cost 13,000 USD for two people.

Here Are My Tips for Upgrading With Points:
For some reason, it's impossible to upgrade your flight with points until 72 hours before departure.
So if you want to upgrade to First Class using points, you'll want to book a Business Class flight with cash and then upgrade from there.

What Is the Difference Between Business and First Class?
The main difference is the choices of amenities and level of privacy. There was a neverending menu of things to eat and drink.
Plus everything you get on the plane you can take home with you!
In First Class 777, your seat fully lies flat and you get a duvet and sleeping pad that softens the seat so you can sleep.

Was This $7,000 Flight Worth It?
Surprisingly, I would say yes! Only if it fits in your budget, which I understand it won't for most of us (including myself). However, I've visited over 50 countries and found this experience to be my best flying experience ever.

Thank you for your honest opinions. I am thinking of upgrading to First Class from Dubai to Edinburgh. It was really worth the points.

Great video and information. I'm looking to do BC JFK to CPT using AMEX Platinum points. So are you saying 72hrs before departure I should see if I can upgrade to 1st class ane to use points? Do you use your points directly with the airline or go through the AMEX travel portal. I really was to get the 1st class experience to compare it to the Qatar Qsuite which was amazing.
