Sell All Your Pigs In Stardew Valley

I know that you love Pigs in Stardew Valley but what If I told you there is a new top down in town. And it is the Ostrich. The new Stardew Valley 1.5 Update has added the Ostrich, and they are incredible.

Ostriches produce one egg every week. Assuming it is iridium quality and you convert it to mayo that would give you 5320g every week or 85120g per year. since there are 16 weeks in a Stardew Valley year.

Pigs on the other hand produce ≈3 truffles per day. Each truffle sells for 1491g provided they are converted into truffle oil, so 3 per day gives you 4473g per day on average, or 31311g per week.

At this point you may be wondering:
“But what about winter and rainy days?”
Well, removing winter would give you 84 days for the year. Being generous to the ostrich I will remove a week off the remaining months for a total of 63 days of pig productivity. Multiplying the remaining 63 days by the 4473g per day gives you 281799g per year.

So basically pigs give 281% more gold per year…

Even in the worst case scenario where the pig gives 1 truffle per day it still beats the ostrich with 93933g per year compared to the ostriches 85120g per year.

Pigs are just better in every way. So if you use animals for profits use pigs. As you do barely any more work than you would normally do, except you get far more gold. Your Welcome…

The problem is the egg takes so long to produce, not to mention that pig truffle has a really good combo when you have forage and farming at max. Ostrich isn't bad at all if you just want some lazy profits, but if you actually want a real profits, then pig is the best way.

Pigs will definitely outproduce ostriches, even if they can't produce in winter. They're just too op

you can sell the ostrich itself for 9k as well. with the autopetter, it can be a good low effort steady source of money. usually i sell them at like 1 star cause i can

Pigs at max friendship can find multiple truffles each, and your forage skill gives chance for x2 on pickup and as truffle oil, each one sells for 1480 as truffle oil with artisan perk. That means each pig can make 4500-9k daily each depending on douple pickup chance.

I even think my pigs have pulled 5 to 6 truffles a day at max ❤ that's 6 to 7, 250 and no machine required. Plus you can wait till the last day of the season and your farm is like all truffles lol.

Egg produce only after 7 days, so 1 ostrich= 1egg=10(mayonnaise iridium)=5, 320 everyday.
While truffle, 1 pig= 1 irridium truffle everyday (sometimes 2 with max friendship) = 1, 250×7days = 8, 750.(no extra work as well) easiest and best money maker in stardew.🤣
