LPG Price Hike Burdens The Middle Class| LPG Cylinder| Cooking oil| Inflation

"Petroleum companies today increased price of a LPG cylinder by ₹ 25 per cylinder with effect from today. Price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will now cost ₹ 884.50 per cylinder in Delhi. This is the second price hike undertaken by the gas retailers within a month. Not too long ago, On August 18, the gas companies had hiked the price of LPG cylinder by ₹ 25 per cylinder. Likewise, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial cylinder was increased by ₹19 per cylinder and will now cost ₹ 1,693 per cylinder. Now here's the catch. these prices that I told you are after the subsidy. If this is the price of already subsidized domestic Gas Cylinder, imagine what will be the cost without subsidy. Currently, the government provides 12 subsidised LPG cylinders of 14.2 kilograms to a household every year.
Just In the last 15 days the LPG Cylinder has got costly by ₹50. But, if you look at the data from January 2021, you'll see that the domestic cylinder has got expensive by ₹190.50.

Subsidy has been stop since July 2020  in Mumbai as you have mentioned 12 subsidise cylinder in news, now there’s no Subsidise cylinder any more in Mumbai. As earlier subsidise money use to get transferred to your account, is now stopped.

It is a shame on BJP-led NDA Government that price of domestic gas has almost doubled from Rs.414/- to Rs.880+ between 2014 - 2021 (September). Does the government think that the earnings of the middle and low income groups have doubled during the last 7 years. Whatever the dole outs made by the government to meet the needs, these dole outs fade in comparison with suffering people go through in their day-to-day life due to the price hike of almost all the essential commodities. Marie Antoinette, the French Queen, at the outset of French Revolution told the people to eat cake when they asked for bread. What our people need is to buy essential commodities to survive, not cock and bull stories about Modi's greatness through social media channels which bombard people day in and day out with issues not connected to the life of common people.
