I feel like this channel has slowly turned into a way for Johnathon to torture his colleagues with apple products and get away with it

I love that you really analyze how using this makes Lloyd feel about using his computer. I think that's going to be so critical to how this technology is going to fare going forward. People will only want to use it if it feels okay to them. Also, I'm loving your new hair!

My dad owns a repair shop for apple devices and has at least 3 headless MacBooks as workstations. I never knew it was a thing until he showed me one. It’s a great way to save a MacBook with a broken screen and turn it into something useful again without buying an expensive replacement screen.

Can most people really not understand lloyd? i thought he sounded fine lol. I feel he speaks similarly to dennis and dennis never needed to be subtitled

In case no one else pointed this out yet, Xreal's (Nreal's) MacOS app does some head tracking to allow for 3 1080p-ish virtual monitors. Same drawbacks but slightly better for work. 5:20 5:23

conspicuously subtitling lloyd's completely fine english is weird lol

quest 3 literally support wireless ar triple monitor on mac natively right now. it would be really embarrassing is Apple’s own 3500 doller headset can’t support it.

The guy testing the glasses, Lloyd, is great and a real pleasure to watch! Open to new experiences without being fussy. genuinely trying to make the best out of the tech to offer real world feedback. great concept great execution

Great video as always. But cmon guys Lloyd does not need subtitels.... He is perfectly understandable. And I am not even an English native speaker.

Honestly this is facinating to me.
As someone with a visual impairment I have always been interested in these technologies because I wonder "what if I could get a much bigger screen without the encumbrance that comes with it?"
Then make it curve so that everything looks similar in perspective.
I would really love to be able to try this and see if well it would work.
Maybe I'll have to try to making one of those things some day ^^

I made a headless macbook (we called it the HalfBook) in 2013 because I was volunteering with my schools IT program. They had a bin of broken-ish parts that I could cobble together a working computer from. A "broken-ish" screen is hard to come by (they're usually just broken) so I just left it as a halfbook.

The idea of working in an office where I stare at my colleagues across from me with bare desks smart glasses is a dystopian nightmare I didn't need to imagine, thanks Johnathan.

I think that in order to really sell this vr/ar experience, the computer environment needs to be easily switchable between the headset and a traditional monitor. Kind of realized that when watching the video!

Lloyd spoke perfectly clear English, why the hell did you give him special subtitles for his speech?

the man doesn’t need subtitles for when he speaks

After seeing the occlusion on the Vision Pro recently, I am really excited to see what the platform brings! I know a lot of people don't like the idea of strapping something to your face, but I think it will be a really cool device to use.

PC user here. I use my Quest 3 as a monitor. I have to plug in a ghost hdmi in order for it to work. I use Virtual Desktop and it works great for gaming. I wish there was a multi monitor function instead of just switching between them.

That being said, it only works if you have VD running. So no bios editing or anything like. I have a spare TV on the side incase VD stops working or something else happens

There was really no reason to use captions for Lloyd's lines. I can perfectly understand his english without them.
