Jason Day: 'We have a good shot at winning' | Presidents Cup Profiles

Captain Ernie Els completed his International team with two Presidents Cup veterans and two rookies. Among his captain’s picks was none other than Australian, Jason Day, who will be playing for the fifth time. Day previously won a World Cup title with teammate Adam Scott at Royal Melbourne in 2013, so he hopes his familiarity around the sand belt golf course will play to his strengths.

I've been in love with Jason Day ever since the 2015 US Open when I really first started watching golf again. I hadn't seen my dad for five years, and he taught professionals. Those were my 10 to 15 year old years. So precious and I couldn't play golf. It's no wonder why I really looked up to and admire Jordan Spieth and Jason Day and Rory Mcllroy. One of the first few I watched when I got back to watching. I remember Jason fell to the ground because of vertigo during the 2015 US Open. And then he got back up and finished his round... And later he made world #1. He's definitely one of my favorites :) don't forget that two iron on that par 5 !! I think it was the PGA Championship, and he had to make eagle to even have a chance... And he did
