Corgi Collector adding my two cents. The Cougar XR7 was originally introduced as a Corgi Rocket for a tie in with the James Bond movie On Her Majesties Secret Service. After the end of the Rockets program, the casting was oddly modified into a police car and had labels that read "Sheriff" on the sides. The body and base were heavier metal because of the Rockets history.
You made it look much nicer than Corgi ever did.

Very nice. Police lights on a convertible top? What the heck? I think a light wash would really make the interior pop! Lol. Better than new!

I came to your channel because of the van build off with Matchbox Garage! I had to watch this one first! I had one of these as a child and when I was around 5 put it down the vent in our family bathroom, tried to retrieve it at around 9, but my arms were too short. I did get it back a few years later! The A-pillars, most of the roof and the windows were gone before I put it down the vent. I just bought 2 of these off Ebay, and am planning on restoring them at some point, so thank you for making this vid, of this car, which is dear to me!!!

Sweet machine. Looks gorgeous in that candy red. The Mercury Cougar was built on the same platform as the Mustang and was an upmarket Mustang if memory serves

Nice! The candy paint and rims make this so much cooler than if it was restored to original

Cracking job as always mate, awesome makeover 👍
I had a real 1969 cougar rx7, didn have it long before i wrecked it in a crash.
Corgi made the castings for husky, they then rebranded them with a husky plastic base to create a budget toy and were distributed through woolworths stores

Good colour choice and the amount of detail that has been restored is fantastic

This looks amazing! I kinda liked the lights on top of the car, but unnecessary unless it's a police car or emergency vehicle. The color is great! 😎
