The Ministry of transport has today announced the reinstatement of officers from NTSA to Kenyan roads in a bid to tame the rising numbers of road accidents. In a statement released on Tuesday, Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen who announced a joint crackdown with the Ministry of interior, also ordered the immediate retesting of all public service and heavy truck drivers. The directive comes after 17 people died and scores of others injured after a spate of road accidents on Monday.

A 360° approach is needed, the road designs, the drivers, the vehicles, the law enforcement teams, the passengers, other road users, knowledge, 😢

Some decisions don't make sence. How many psv drivers are there in comparison to psv accidents, ...why subject all drivers to retest!

People have learnt the art just blame the government, there's an accident here just blame the government, someone has ingested poison just blame the government if all drivers took it upon themselves and be responsible we wouldn't be having this accidents, unnecessary bright strobe lights mounted on vehicles, bodabodas, unnecessary loud trumpets, drivers chewing khat etc etc are the vices...but if yiu try to speak to any of these guys thry know more than anyone else

NTSA coming back to roads is not a solution they're supposed to plan on how to introduce defensive driving classes to all drivers cz most accidents happen due to lack of defensive driving skills

the only way to reduce road accidents is for the traffic police to be stopped kujukua pesa Barabarani kutoka kwenye matatu.halafu accident ikitokea wanafika haraka kujifanya wako kazini.but God sees everything even if the Government does not act.

To prevent head on collisions, highway dividers must be installed especially on two lane roads where overtaking is more common. Commercial drivers have to take refresher courses every 6 months just like airline pilots or else the carnage will never end.

They should work on their system as well it’s had to get documents from NTSA since the time migration started from Tims to Ecitizen

😂😂😂😂 how is that connected with reckless driving.
The accident that happened past voi was due to reckless driving sio mambo na ngari mzee have even seen new vehicles causing accidents.
The thing ni kwamba drivers should try to avoid reckless driving, driving while drunk....always sensetize people on the importance of servicing their vehicle regularly.
But kuondoa ngari kwa barabara koz it looks like old, sijui nini can't help.
Again whoever has ever passed that mombasa road from mtito to almost mombasa can tell you hakuna tarmac road hapo.
Better even kupitia kwa mchanga tu.
