The dynamics of Emma and Daddy Charming is further explored in this episode. Can we all just reflect on the fact that David's greatest fear is letting his children down? From day one all he's cared about is protecting his family, risking life and limb whenever needed, and he still fears that he isn't a good father.

A little heartbreaking. Snow can't wait to be a mom again. But Charming can't let his little girl go. I like that they show such vulnerable side to him. Makes his character that much more complex

I had pretty big problems at first that Snow was so insta happy and not thinking about just losing Emma. But then realized it´s her way to survive by forgetting that pain. But love that daddy/daughter dream :)

Is it wrong to like her dress once it's been ruined, along with her hair, I love how Emma still manages to look beautiful even though the dress is ruined and her hair is no longer in a bun

This is such a beautifully sad scene, Emma lost her childhood, which I don't feel the show emphaizes enough although it tries. She grew up in the foster care system, my only contact with it was once at work a foster parent asked me to help him figure out what he could give his new foster daughter as a gift, but it had to be something that would most likely not get stolen if she was around other foster were too nice so we decided on books.

I sort of like how Snow and Charming show a real marriage, all the little white lies that are done with good intentions that get blown up in their faces and all the real fears.  This clip shows how much he regrets Emma's suffering but how helpless he felt about the whole situation and fearing failing the next one.  I think this will lead to Charming trying to be a better father and try to do it all only to realize he has to depend on his new, strange family and that it's okay.  I love though how Charming and Emma can be together and you don't get weird vibes, like they could just be friends if they weren't family.  While Emma is the Savior, I think baby Neal is going to be the Connecter, the person who holds them all together.
