Thanks for the comment. You could probably count on getting many years out of the S2 if you take care of it, keep it in a case when you travel and so on. Maybe 4 or 5 from regular use.

@TheDJALTINO You can totally mix without having to use the sync on any of these. I personally use the pitch faders for every mix, but I do recognize that the "sync" button could be useful on the Novation Twitch for instance since it does not have jog wheels to nudge. Thanks for the comment!

@Anzyclos Yes, I agree with you and their layout is exclusive to Pioneer. I use many different controllers and I have to adjust when I use theirs, especially since the cue buttons are very small in comparison to others. Obviously I would never find mirrored CDJs but every other controller is mirrored. Thanks for the comment!

@g00m0 We will be sure to do one once we get one at the shop. Thanks for the comment!

@enricooo666 Yes, you can control as many decks as the software allows when mapped to Traktor Pro or Virtual DJ Pro. However, the Ergo ships with VDJ LE and Serato Intro which only allow 2 deck mixing and we wouldn't want to mislead any one. Thanks for the comment!

@Uniquesquared I just read my own comment again and I'm sorry that it sounded so offensive. I'm a Pioneer DJ myself and for me, there's no controller I would feel more at home with than the ergo in this price range. Pioneers DDJ-T1 and DDJ-S1 share the pro DJ layout. I tend to get annoyed when I come to a gig and I'm presented with a controller that is mirrored. The build quality varies alot, but I still favor the Pioneer setups because I slip right at home with them and they feel sturdy! <3

recently bought TRAKTOR S2 controller as an upgrade from my numark mixtrack controller i had, best purchase ive made. layout is excellent, has the sample and cue pads that just feel excellent, make beats live . effects there is a great amount to choose from that comes with the traktor pro software that it comes with, which in my opinion is a great software to work with. scratching is pretty responsive and on point for scratchers. knobs and faders feel very pro and nice on ur fingers when using.

@beargrizzlys Thanks for a great question. Your solution lies in getting a controller like an MC3000 or MC6000 that has aux inputs. The Novation Twitch is also a good option. If you don't have a reliable laptop, like a Mac, it might be best to have CDJs or an iPod for back up, but using a controller is best if you are doing a lot of portable, mobile gigs. I hope this helps.

Yes, but most controllers have a mirrored layout. I still like the Ergo a lot, though. Thanks for the comment!

@therealbassntreble You're absolutely right. Traktor allows for complete customization. Thanks for the comment!

A booth output is an extra output from your DJ controller. It outputs the same mix as the master output. The difference is that the booth output has its own independent volume control.

It’s designed to be used by speakers in the DJ booth. You can turn the DJ booth speakers up, down or off, without affecting the volume out of the master output.

For the best prices on these controllers check out the UniqueSquared website.

The Pioneer controllers have big jog wheels and are ported over from Pioneers popular CDJ line. So if you have used CDJ's in the past for scratching, you will feel right at home with the DDJ-S1.

You can find the Pioneer DDJ-S1 for a great price on the UniqueSquared website.

The S2 has the dedicated MAIN/BOOTH switch next to the RCA outputs that lets you use the RCA outputs as a DJ Booth Monitor speakers.

Yes in theory you could use the microphone input as an auxiliary input source. It is my understanding that the microphone input will work whether you are connected to your computer or not.

Denon MC-3000 FTW ! I spent a month researching mid-priced controllers before I purchased one, and by far, the Denon is the best quality & best features for the money. As for being "cramped", you ~could~ make that argument, but it's hallow. I had a friend who usually plays on CDJs, and who has never used the MC-3000 before, jump right on and figure everything out within one mix. The Twitch is apples and oranges, but unless you are a die-hard NI fan, the Denon wins hands down.

Sorry rasoul99 for accidentally deleting your comment. Stand alone mixer means that the controller will continue to work in the event your computer goes down. You can hook up a CD player or iPod and keep the party going. Non stand alone means you cant. Check out the UniqueSquared website and our Live Chat feature if you have more questions.
