I remember my brother, sister, and myself used to skip the school bus. Just so we can go fishing before and after school. We'd find hooks and string lying around. Use some bread for bait. The bus driver knew it. When she'd pass the park she'd honk to let us know to leave the pound. One day after school we werent aware she called off. So there was a different bus driver. We never heard the honk so we stayed out later. We finally realized how late it was and my mother was out looking for us haha. We got an ass whooping from hell that day. It was worth it tho. We were used to getting beat up already. So we didn't mind.
