In 1979 I stayed w my girlfriends aunt and uncle in Amityville NY. I was astounded to find one of these in the driveway of their ramshackled little house. They let me take it out alone to the store and I gunned that beautiful engine countless times on the two mile trip. I've tried driving one or two cool cars since but nothing ever effected me like that beast did.

For 'ONLY' $4700. Dollars in 1969, that is equivalent to 40K today.

I’m glad you survived your tour. Thank you for your service. A friend of mine had a brother who owned a sixty nine Super Bee. He sold it in seventy five with the plans to buy another vehicle. But the day he sold it, he was with some friends on the river bank when someone above them heaved a small boulder into the group. His back was to the person throwing the rock, and it struck him in the back of his head. It killed him. It was very sad. I often wonder what happened to that car. It was a white car with black accents. It had the Super Bee band around the rear of the car. I was twelve years old in seventy five, but the whole experience had an effect on me. When my friend called me and told me that his brother died, I remember the song called the Hustle was playing on the radio. To this day, every time I hear that song, it takes me right back to that day. I’m sorry for the long story, but the car ties in with the whole thing. It really was a beautiful car.

This is amazing. I did sell him that car at the Washington state fair in Puyallup Washington. I would like to speak with him.

When my Dad came back from Vietnam, he bought a brand new 69 Plymouth GTX 440. When he died in 1985 he gave me the car and asked me not to modify it. I still have it all original (except wearable Parts), with 59, 682 Miles on it.

To think today this car is worth far more. It is a case of someone who knew what he was buying even back then. It is amazing how the nosecone and the wing flatter it to no end. Welcome home Ron. Im glad you got to come back to enjoy it, despite knowing you might not make it.
A hand salute and medal to you. 🏅
