30 years ago. I was so enchanted by this technologically advanced game back then. But I never solved it. I guess I was too dumb. I wish I could show this VR version to myself in 1993. I think I would have fainted after a few minutes, or had several outbursts of jubilation until fainting. Wow. These are the good things to be alive for in these times!

This is a pretty cool game and it's great that Wolf says "Presto!" After he played Geno-type, William was such an amazing character and Wolf is an amazing gamer

It's really cool to see how much they changed this game for the better. 7th Guest is a landmark title for its time but not a particularly good game in it's own right.

The puzzles were unbelievably difficult and esoteric barely had any connection to the game itself. Once you were done being "wowed" by the pre rendered graphics and FMV the actual meat of the experience felt more like 'Microsoft Entertainment pack - Spooky edition'

I'm glad these guys had the right idea to chuck all of that in a bin and just focus on the spirit of the game instead. (Pun not intended)

The 7th Guest was one of my favourite games 30 years ago, along with Phantasmagoria. The video performances are still the same, talk about nostalgia. I still remember so much of it, incredible how good games stay with us.

Oh, the changing paintings reminded me of Clive Barker's Undying!

This was one of the first live action video games, and it’s a classic. Seeing this redone for VR with similar but different puzzles is fantastic. And being VR s very appropriate considering it’s origin. Love the new actors. Looking forward to watching all of this.

Nice to see someone playing this remake.. I actually have the original 7th Guest on disc.. (I was terrible at it lol) .. So its nice to see how much the gameplay and puzzles have evolved for a modern generation.. Great video!!! Keep up the fantastic work!! 😊

just got off this game I'm loving it. it's right up my ally. The puzzles, so far, remind me of the type of puzzles first encountered in the original professor Layton and the curious village and nothing wrong with that, It looks stunning on the quest 3

Just started this game and watching your videos after I progressed a bit… Gotta love the little details in this house: in that last room, all drinks on the shelves have funny names like Gut Punch, Devil’s Riddle, Red Rum and the bottle of wine you picked up before leaving is “L’Abattoir” (the slaughterhouse in French…)

I do like that there are some hidden scares. I didn't see that shadow form in Heine's room when I entered it, but I'm pretty sure I saw one sitting in the chair by the coffin puzzle after I solved one of the puzzles.

oh this is perfect, you're starting to play this while RoahmMythril is playing the old original game. If the stories are the same you guessed correctly that Temple wants to be able to use real magic.

28:45 "Fool 'em all, Julia. Fool 'em all." That line, as you pick up her still-corked _and full_ complimentary bedside wine bottle, makes me suspicious. I think maybe under the circumstances of the game; a big ol' house filled with puzzles and clues, six players and only one winner; Julia might be expecting some amount of allying and inevitable double-crossing, so she's _playing the role_ of a cranky old drunken has-been, hoping that the other guests will mostly ignore her, but also that when they _are_ forced to play with her, they won't take her seriously as an opponent until it's hopefully too late.

Also, you missed a coin in the foyer.
