In this universe of Peter Pan, Both Peter and Hook first name James used to be friends even going as far as Peter dubbing James as his first Lost Boy but the two had a falling out because James misses his family and Peter got angry about it and banishes James to go back to his mom. James made his way home but ended up with the pirates and the pirates raised him and as a result both Peter and James developed an intense rivalry.
If you want to know my view about this feud what Peter did after having a falling out with James, he didn't need to do that he could've just helped out James find his way home but instead he banishes James from Neverland and have him find his own way home. I understand to a degree why James wanted to leave Neverland because he misses his mother but at the same time I just don't like how Peter went about it just letting him leave like that.

Jude Law's performance is what I remember most from this film!
Why this film is up there with "Hook" (1991) and "Peter Pan" (2003) as the best Peter Pan films! They all gave us AMAZING performances from Captain Hook's perspective!!

They did so much justice to Captain Hook as a character in what is an otherwise okay movie.
Usually in Disney's remakes, the villains are either copycat, bland or a misunderstood villain that was good the whole time. But with the writing and Jude Law's performance, we get to hear the backstory of this fiendish pirate, where we see his vulnerability from the fallout between him and Peter Pan long ago. I understand what drove him to being a pirate, becoming the feared enemy of Peter Pan and how he feels he could never go back to the happy boy he once was, because though he has regrets, he is the villain now.
Jude Law nails every personality trait, mannerism and emotional shift down to a perfect T. I would even dare say, this would have to be one of the greatest Captain Hook performances of any film, right up there with Dustin Hoffman and Jason Isaacs.

I had low expectations for the movie, but I ended up enjoying it. Is it good as the animated Disney movie from 1950s? No, but this movie's biggest strength is the relationship between Captain Hook and Peter Pan.

I think the movie should had been about Peter and Captain Hook, their backstory alone would make a great movie.

Thanks really made this film controversial and racist which is what made it controversial because Peter Pan is a white boy.
I am not trying to be either biased or racist but Peter Pan was always known for being white.
I am just giving constructive criticism with some brutal honest truth telling.
