Things to Do - Fun History - Colourful Buildings - and why Danes are so dang happy!
Come on a virtual tour with me around Copenhagenโs Glyptotek Museum (also known as Ny Carlsberg Glyptoteket). Built in 1897 as a result of Carlsberg beer founder Carl Jacobsenโs astounding overflowing ancient statue collection.
If youโre in Copenhagen on a budget, this is a GREAT place to go on Tuesdays - because entry is completely free! Who said Copenhagen is expensive?! Otherwise tickets cost 115 Danish Kroner per person, which - in my opinion - is still not a bad price based on the amount of beautiful art packed in here. Iโd estimate it takes around an hour to go through the museum - slightly longer if you add on any of the special exhibits (which you pay extra for).
Definitely add this famous Copenhagen attraction on your "must see Copenhagen" list; even if you don't go on the free Tuesday, it's WELL worth the ticket price. Housing many important Danish golden age paintings, it's a hugely important look into Copenhagen culture and history.
