I watched it in one go. You have heard of second hand embarrassment, let’s welcome second hand trauma because damn the shit that viet parents put their oldest daughters THRU. I cannot deal with how Judy and the sister in law were being treated. I’m glad they are not showcasing random drama but real trauma points. Alcoholism, dysfunctional families, intergenerational conflicts, etc etc

I just started watching the first episode tonight. It's is kind of interesting at the same time it is like train wreck. As former Vietnamese refugee I can relate to some of the experience but not the lavish life style. I been struggling all my life. The American dream has eluded me. But I am still content.

Show was awesome. I binge watched the entire season with my buddies and if you’re Asian, you can relate a lot, maybe not the super rich part, but you get what I mean. Look, if you are not into reality type of tv or think you’re “above” watching this type of stuff, then don’t watch it. But for me, it’s fun to see the drama and lifestyle. It’s a good way to just enjoy a show, lighten up and don’t take it too seriously

Honestly this show is both frustrating and comforting at the same time. Being raised in an Americanized Hispanic household I'm able to relate to so much of the family dynamics in this show. It's nice to see some kids finally breaking these cycles and doing the things that's right for them (Reagan). But also disheartening to see people so obviously unhappy but sticking around for the sake of love (Lesley).
