Wow, that explanation sums up CO2 transport perfectly!
Also, as you mentioned Deoxygenated Hb buffers protons, on the contrary, Oxygenated Hb releases protons which cause CO2 production and release out of the RBC (Haldane effect).
I understand it much better now.

Hi mike. My step 1 exam is in april and ive only finished 21% of uworld. My average is 65%. When should I start doing NBMEs? Because by the pace im going at, ill be done with uworld around march 10-17 which seems scarily close to my exam date having only finished uworld
