According to Fred Foldvary Proudhon was a proto Georgist - it is absolutely necessary to distinguish between different types of property: one's work, one's self is one's own, but land is an absolute prerequisite of freedom not a consequence of it. Without land one cannot exist as a 3D being.

25:15 Kropotkin does not say that distribution may not account for contribution. In Chapter 12 of "The Conquest of Bread", he states,

"To begin with, is it not evident that if a society, founded on the principle of free work, were really menaced by loafers, it could protect itself without an authoritarian organization and without having recourse to wagedom?

"Let us take a group of volunteers, combining for some particular enterprise. Having its success at heart, they all work with a will, save one of the associates, who is frequently absent from his post. Must they on his account dissolve the group, elect a president to impose fines, or maybe distribute markers for work done, as is customary in the Academy? It is evident that neither the one nor the other will be done, but that some day the comrade who imperils their enterprise will be told: 'Friend, we should like to work with you; but as you are often absent from your post, and you do your work negligently, we must part. Go and find other comrades who will put up with your indifference!'

"This way is so natural that it is practiced everywhere nowadays, in all industries, in competition with all possible systems of fines, docking of wages, supervison, etc.; a workman may enter the factory at the appointed time, but if he does his work badly, if he hinders his comrades by his laziness or other defects, and they quarrel with him on that account, there is an end of it; he is compelled to leave the workshop."

Here, Kropotkin denies the necessity of a specific form of accounting for contributions to production in determining a right to consumption, namely wage labor. He does not deny any accounting for these contributions whatsoever. On the contrary, he explicitly states that an association of laborers may expel an associate who does not contribute.

Word of warning. Casey's sound quality is downright awful. Added to that his roundabout way of speaking with its halting, jagged rhythms is particularly hard to follow until they reach the Anglophone anarchists (29:30). I suggest listening to this in a quiet room

I haven't read The Ego and His/Its Own, but when I hear those things by Stirner, I hear it as descriptive, not moral/prescriptive, is not ought. And I agree that at bottom that's how everything works and say those things often. You can still promote other behaviors while describing reality in Stirner's way. Am I wrong? Does he for sure promote might being right? I am highly doubtful, book's on my list for ages though.

If you don't believe that might=right and you're willing to challenge someone on it then you better be prepared to deal with their response. That's why I keep a gun on me and a knife and a bit over a hundred rounds in my car along with a machete, a sword, and a bow and arrows. And, hypothetically, (ect typed a little bit TMI here).

Still, I'm not a stirnerite, but I've had a knife to my throat and a shotgun in my face. This sheltered college professor has no idea how "philosophically diverse" it gets when you are broke, unemployed, and homeless and wandering the streets in the real world.
