I personally have not tried the Horn Hunter. A buddy I hunt with used the Horn Hunter for two seasons. The rangefinder was attached on the bottom of the case and the binos were concealed in the main compartment. He liked the case but did complain about the shoulder straps not having any padding nor being wide enough so they did tend to cause some discomfort.

Other than the straps he seemed to like the harness and the convenience of having his rangefinder accessible at the bottom of the case.
He now uses the FHF Harness but is looking into the AGC Harness.

There are some good harnesses out there. It is a matter of finding what works best for you.

Excellent review, looks like the perfect harness.

Have you tried the FHF Gear harness? How does it compare in size and mainly the comfort when your pack is on, because it seems the AGC has much thicker/larger harness straps than the FHF.

Have you tried out the KISS with the MAX pocket on the bottom for your rangefinder? I am curious if that would be less obtrusive than the CUB with the pocket on the front. The MAX pocket is a bit smaller though. Great review, thank you.

I will be using this pack in the archery season. I am trying to decide between this cub model and the classic X50 model. I like the fact the X50 will give me a bit more flexibility in sizing but I am worried about bowstring clearance versus the cub model. Did you choose the cub because you figured the classic X50 model may be tight for string clearance, or were you just trying to go as compact as possible ? Wondering why you did get the max bottom pocket, was this due to string clearance as well?

Good review. Who makes that diaphragm call holder?

Could you keep a release in the side pocket?
