How To Make Lawakua Warrior Ribbon Lei part 1 of 2

In this video I make with 3/8” ribbons. I’ll make with 5/8” ribbons in the next video (part 2). You can watch Renaissance Mom’s video for 7/8” ribbons. So you can compare and decide how big you want the lei.

You can make this beautiful flower ribbon lei for graduation, birthday or special events. I hope this video can be helpful. Easy tutorial and show you step by step.

The materials for this lei are:
9 yards 3/8” royal blue satin
9 yards 3/8” yellow gold with gold edge satin

Maholo! Absolutely beautiful Lei and SUCH an easy-to-follow tutorial. Thank you for sharing it (one of SO many that you have posted)! Can't wait to make more of your designs, especially since the one I made (and I'm a total newbie) came out exactly the way it was supposed to, a credit to your clear instructions.

If anyone does make this, I would strongly suggest that you test the Fabric Fusion on a piece of the ribbon you are using and let it sit for the entire cure time. The glue bled through to the good side of the (cheap??) ribbon I used and was not attractive. I tossed that lei, made another and used E6000 instead. I also made sure to glue the points to the darker color that I used to minimize any evidence of glue. But absolutely make this ~ you WILL be pleased!
