I love how this Darkseid is clearly totally feared but isn’t a loose cannon. He calmly speaks to Steppenwolf and even agrees with DeSaads advice about how things would turn out. He knows you know he’s powerful. He doesn’t have to laser everyone in half to show it.

Keeping in mind, the only reason Darkseid lost his initial battle on earth is because he faced the literal Greek Pantheon. The Literal Gods of Olympus. And it seems suggested by the movie that he’s only grown in power since then. Love this build up

Seeing Darkseid in live action is absolutely glorying despite his limited amount of screen time in the film, he looks even more terrifying than Thanos.

1:04 One of the coolest shots of the film. It's perfection. His "Conan The Barbarian"-pose is so badass. And I LOVE his design. So close to his classic design without looking goofy. It feels alsmost Shakespearean or ripped from an epic greek myth.
