This actually works great! I think it would've been better to show how you made the corner jig. I get it but many newbies won't.

Wouldn't that just push the two workpieces outward and away as you apply pressure? EDIT: I tried it; with rough cut holders, the friction prevents the pieces from sliding out, but there is also no pressure pushing them together.

I don't understand how it puts any pressure on the joint. Looks like it would just maintain pressure or a bit more. They would have to already be where you want.
