In 1976, when I was nine years old, my father took me on my very first roller coaster, a kiddie coaster, at Tivoli Gardens. He decided he didn't care much for roller coasters... but I've gone on to become a 55 year old coaster enthusiast. My obsession has been nonstop and consistent since that fateful day in Denmark so many years ago. Thanks Dad. He also took me to Legoland. So I went home to the states and got tell all my friends I went to a land of Legos. Which was a bonkers claim for an American kid in the mid 70s.

One of my favorite parks in the world. I’m glad to see another person make a review and give their thoughts. It’s a beautiful and charming place.

RIP Vertigo one of the greatest attractions of all time

The Hans Christian Anderson ride was hands down my favorite. The old style roller-coaster with a person working the breaks on each car was also pretty awesome.

This seems like a fun, relaxing time. The garden looks relaxing, and the rides look meticulous.

Very neat review. As a local though a few corrections, fun facts, and other things that might help you and many others out.

So first of all the park does actually have a fireworks show and an incredibly impressive one at that, however its only on saturdays. The light show that you saw is like their secondary offering.

Secondly the park might actually have had a standout ride that one would come back to this place just to experience in the past. That being a ride called Vertigo. It was a unique flatride by Technical park which was known for pulling 5G's on riders for up to 30 seconds at a time! It was quite popular, especially with enthusiasts but it was a maintenance nightmare so the park has decommissioned it. They still await a replacement but they have moved a kids drop tower that used to stand over by the powered coaster for the time being.

Also like these are just minor details but Fatamorgana aint even the newest ride. TikTak, the mondial shake below the star flyer is. And the fairy tale dark ride does have an english voiceover but yeah. And the big entrance with the Lego store is the main entrance. There is the other entrance by the Central station but thats it. There are 2 exits, one by City hall square and one by Fatamorgana facing the Glyptotek (a sculpture gallery) but those are exits only.

Personally my favorite part of the park is Smøgen, the little backalley behind Rutschebanen from which you enter the fun house. That place has the perfect vibe.

And the rest of this are just gonna be fun facts so here we go.
Tivoli has several different show venues, like the central concert hall behind the chair swing, the Glass hall in between the central field and the lake, the Pantanome theatre seen at 7:28 used for ballets and such, and of course the main stage at the central field used for everything from character shows, to orchestra music, to Dog shows, and huge concerts with big names like 50 cent and Aqua.

But the park has something for everyone. Their entire thing is having 4 different key focuses. The Scenery and landscaping. The culinary treats, the cultural experiences with shows and concerts, and lastly the rides.

I went a couple weeks before and must say, it's one of the most charming parks I've ever been to. I went back 2 times on my trip. I got to do the haunted house, and it was SUPER well-themed. I was really impressed.

I still miss Vertigo... it was perhaps the best flat ride in the world, and certainly the best ride at the park in my opinion

Don't quite see how Fatamorgana technically is the newest attraction. It opened in 2015, TikTak opened in 2018, Mælkevejen and Kamelen in 2019 and Villa Vendetta in 2021 ;-) Glad you guys enjoyed Rutschebanen

Best regards from one of the brakemen

tivoli has no must do attractions because the park itself is the must do. this park is the blueprint for parks as we know them today. it is not for nothing that Walt Disney was inspired by this park for his parks. the park is a total experience. it is one of the nicest parks in the world. just walking around here makes you happy. everything is so beautiful and well maintained and if you consider how old everything is, it makes it even more beautiful. it may not be big but that's what makes it so much fun. it is not a day spending but perfect for an evening only. a park like this does not need extremely large attractions. and you shouldn't compare it to big parks either.
if you are still looking for a must-do attraction, then that is the Rutschebanen. every roller coaster enthusiast with a bit of historical awareness should have ridden this one.

Small fact: Dæmonen is not the smallest b&m coaster, it is the smallest b&m looper but they have also built 2 family suspended coasters in china.

Enjoyed Tivoli in summer of 1971. I was born in and still live in Coney Island!

Daemon was my first inverting coaster, which I rode in the beginning of December about a decade ago, and solidified my love for coasters. I do need to return!

The thing you described as a haunted house meets dolls or something like that, is a like show thing from many of H.C. Andersens most well known fairytales and whe get in the ride you can turn from ddanish to english tour guide so it tells you about every little thing
