Any idea when gen 2 revo was made to eliminate the "ting" sound? Its bothering me for sure

With wooden shaft your cue tip pushing ball to deflection side not a fair comparison. 01:34 you can check.

Keep in mind that this deflection test looks to be done on a 7-foot table compared to most that are on 9-footers...so you can't directly compare. Not that it really matters, as every single cue has deflection that needs to be accounted for---I rotate between 25+ cues on my home table and don't have any issues going from traditional 13mm Joss maple to a 11.65mm Meucci UW, or to a 9.5mm ash snooker cue---it is all about experience and adjustments. Practice is all that matters.

I'd like to see it compared to low-deflection wooden shafts. Or is the one you use for comparison LD?
If you're comparing an LD carbon fiber shaft to an ordinary wooden shaft, that's apples and oranges to begin with.

What were the deflection numbers with the jacoby black vs the predator revo

I think Predator made Filler switch from the Z shaft to the black shaft to drive carbon fiber sales. He played better with wood imo so i look for him to go back to wood some day.

Another con in my opinion is the dark color on a dark felt table. My home table has a fairly dark blue felt and seeing the cue alignment in my peripherals is a little more difficult. Wish predator would come out with other color options.

Love my P3 Revo ❤. Yeah, I spent the $$ so I better, right? I've gone to the 11.8 WVP with a Mako Pro tip. I could care less how it sounds compared to how it feels in my hands. Solid...accurate...smooth.

Kaci went to Revo. Then back to 3142. Filler tried the Revo now using z3.

Been worried about buying a carbon fiber shaft. Been playing with a meucci black dot For few years. And you're right they are really expensive.

My revo doesn't make any tinky sounds. Wonder if that is something that was addressed. My buddy on leagues does the tink and mine (2 weeks old) white vault plate sounds great.

I have tried several different cf shafts that guys have at my pool room. In my opinion they are not worth the money. I also dont think LD shafts are all that great. I have owned Jacoby, OB, and 314-2 and 314-3. They all feel like crap when you shoot with them. Overpriced. If you have a quality cue with a regular maple shaft and a decent stroke, the difference in deflection is minimal and not worth the cost or loss of feel. After years of LD I have gone back to regular maple shaft. (Joss cue) As shown in your deflection test at slow and medium speed the difference was 1/4 of an inch. Also from a long distance. Closer and the difference wouldnt exist. But thank you for your review. Great bank shot in the clutch against SVB. I would have been so nervous I probably would have passed out. :)

I found the same issues with the Revo ...
That's why I went with GO Customs shaft over the others.
Cheaper...
Way better hit... (which everyone has a preference but not "tinky"LOL)
White Farrell pad...
Custom.... you decide specs! No pre made!
And most important.... customer service.
I have played with my Randy Mobley shaft for over 25 yrs. And love it!
But my GO Customs shaft is my go to!
