How to Run Data Science Projects on the Cloud with Code Ocean (Reproducible Data Science)

In this video, I will provide a high-level overview of how you can use compute capsules in Code Ocean for running your data science projects on the cloud plus in a reproducible manner. In essence, Code Ocean's "compute capsule" is comprised of a meta data that (description of what the compute capsule is about) and 3 major components: (1) environment (docker file), (2) code (supports R, Python, Julia, MATLAB, etc.) and (3) data (e.g. csv files). Not only will the compute capsule host these files, it will allow these files to run on the cloud.

Thanks for the intro to Code Ocean! The platform has a lot of promise but it does seem to be slow. I could see that being a turn off to data scientists who want to run their analyses / simulations very quickly.

Read an article about Code Ocean on Nature's website last year. Played with it a little bit. Then nobody around me's actually using it so I thought it's not hot enough perhaps. Who would you recommend to use this platform, may I ask? I mean, is it just not popular yet or is it only suitable for certain roles?
