WHY Is LOEWE So Popular Lately?! | Overhyped or Underrated?

Hi guys! I hope you enjoy today's video. I got the idea to film a video on the topic of Loewe as a luxury goods and fashion house after recently taking a trip to their new stand alone store near me. This was a game changer for me. I have a whole new appreciation for Loewe as a brand as well as the Loewe handbags in particular. The leather of these pieces were absolutely stunning and I think the designs were well thought out and creative. I feel like after experiencing the ambience of the store and the beautiful leather goods I have a stronger understanding of the brand. My favourite handbag was the Loewe Squeeze bag which really shocked me. But I also really liked the look and feel of the Loewe Flamenco Purse.

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

I have a few Loewe pieces and I love the quality. My favorite piece in my collection is a small Puzzle that I’ve had for a few years and have held up so well. I think Loewe’s popularity the past few years really was really due to the “quiet luxury” trend, but more importantly because of their quality at a more affordable prices compared to other fashion houses. Loewe’s cost has gone up quite a bit though because of it and their focus on the font logo isn’t my favorite.

Hi Alana, great video! Think this is a solid and coherent analysis. Personally I feel Loewe is overhyped atm. Quality can't compensate how expensive it's gotten and although the Puzzle and Hammock are brilliant designs, I think their recent work is more derivative. 🙈 The Squeeze is like their (better) take on the Chanel 22.

I have a Chanel lambskin square pearl bag and a Chanel handbag but my lambskin square petal bag I have worn 2 times and I am very careful but somehow still has small scratches on the leather and the gold on the clasp. I don’t know what happened but I paid over $3, 000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. I’m saving up to buy another kislux bag now that I won’t be paying full price anymore.

I prefer the debossed anagram; the newer bags with gold foil is a turnoff as is “Loewe” written across some of their straps. Loewe has quality issues. My old puzzle bag has practically indestructible leather; but the calfskin on my mini flamencos show corner wear. I’m sure the newer lambskin versions will be even more delicate. I love the flamenco style though. Prices, of course, are now obscene so I’m definitely slowing down on the purchases.

I honestly am living for the quiet luxury trend. While I don’t mind a logo hardware like Chanel for example I absolutely hate the monogram logo blasted all over. Bags and clothes. I personally think it’s tacky and screams that you’re trying too hard.
