Turkey Earthquake 2023 | Rescue Team Miraculously Frees A Boy Trapped In Rubble | Turkey Syria News

An Israeli army rescue team pulled a 10-year-old boy alive from under the rubble in Turkey's Kahramanmaras on Friday (February 10) after deadly earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria this week.

Video released by he Israeli army showed the moment when rescuers removed the boy from the rubble and carried him before putting him on a stretcher.

The rescue and medical team said they have rescued 18 civilians in Turkey’s earthquake-stricken area and will continue their efforts to locate and rescue civilians.

The combined death toll stood at 21,000 in southern Turkey and northwest Syria on Friday morning, on the fifth day after the deadliest quake in the region in decades .

The number of people killed by the quake, which struck in the dead of night and was followed by powerful aftershocks, is on course to be larger than in 1999 when a similarly powerful tremor killed 17,000 people in Turkey's more densely populated northwest.
