Hasn’t mercury had this system since 2007-2008? I think its called the mercury singe point drain system

I have a Volvo V6 280 DP Catalyst. What is the hose on the rear of the boat the correct way to get antifreeze into the water chamber? I am old school and like to do things myself. I find little to zero info regarding the winterizing. What is the blue fill tube hose on top of the engine by the drain tube for. I would assume fresh water?

So is this sufficient for winterizing the cooling system? Do you need to run antifreeze through the system as well?

There SHOULD be or ther IS NO need to add antifreeze? I am getting a lot of conflicting info on this newer design.
I had a service advisor tell me TSB 05-2-2 applies to all VP engines but i am not sure how it applies to my 380hp Gen 5 engine?? (05-2-2 below)
Disconnect the suction hose at the water intake.
Put the end of the hose in a bucket filled with freshwater, start the engine and run the cooling system clean
from seawater until the bucket is empty. Turn off the engine.
Fill the bucket with a 40/60% mixture of Volvo Penta Coolant and water or similar glycol mixture. Start the
engine and run it until the bucket is empty. Turn off the engine. Use a container to collect the glycol mixture
from the exhaust outlet and hand it in to a recycling station.
Re-attach the suction hose to the water intake and tighten the hose clamps.
At no time let the impeller run dry!

Does this also drain the block and manifolds or do you still have to remove any plugs? Thanks!
