The people of Syria have just shown the entire world that they themselves can accomplish great things with strength in numbers to overthrow oppression. This is a huge day for the world and in history.

Politics often fails the people, but my heart has always gone out to Syria and its resilient people. I still remember the tragic news during the civil war—innocent children lost to the cruelty of both militants and the government. My mother cried after watching those heartbreaking videos. While Syria has found a bit of relief now, the road ahead requires strength and unity.

As humans, we must prioritize creating a peaceful and healthy society for future generations. To my brothers and sisters in Syria: choose leaders who truly represent you, rebuild your nation with compassion, and let humanity stand above all divisions, including religion. Sending love and solidarity from Nepal 🇳🇵.

Seeing the cruel and painful days of the Syrian brothers and sisters was very painful, the pain of not being able to stand by the native Muslim brothers and sisters in danger as a Muslim is indescribable. The brothers and sisters of Sham used to pray for our daily prayers, Alhamdulillah! Allah you are really great ☝️🇧🇩

We don't KNOW if it's an "end to authoritarian rule". We only know it's the end of Assad's rule. We'll FIND OUT what's next.

I hope they dont harm any civilians. Let there be complete peace in that region and let everyone live peacefully forgetting past crimes and forgiving everyone. Only such a nation can survive.

I remember when the rebels were facing the Syrian tanks and Russians using chemical weapons in Syria. I hope the Syrians can finally live in peace with a fair government.
