Im in the Philippines so mowers are limited
I have this exact mower it was 2nd hand im guessing ex demonstrator or a returned unit as sold as surplus but looked brand new
The engine is great prime and starts pretty easy
Cuts well enough but there are issue's
1 the deck and bag shoot clog very easy
2 the handle foam grips already falling apart
3 the handle frames already sloppy at the first joint
4 the deck paint coating is already flaking off
5 the swing blades would sharpen fine except two of them have thinned at the rear kick up and broken off
The engine has the original oil its like new spotless and clean its been used less than 20times

I was skiptica at first because its bad recommendation but then I ask myself what could be wrong when it build with a Yamaha engine and a warranty. It price is acceptable compared to $700+ for the lawn machine in it range is insane. So I bid the odds and get one at the Bunnings. Putting together is straight forward if you read! the assembly instructions, following it step..then here its go, first start fire up instantly. Good machine .

I have one of these mowers and would not recommend it. Had it about a year and now it won’t start and service place can’t fix it, looks like I will have to buy a new mower.

The fold down handle is crap design mines already loose and ive had try reshape it where the pressed tube has distorted due to not enough strength and poor design
Ill most likely have to weld it solid

Unfortunately what should have been a match made in heaven turned out to be a match made in hell. The Yamaha motor is so difficult to start. Most females cant start it. I am a relatively strong man and struggle to get it started.
Sometimes taking 3 to 4 hard and long yanks on the starter cord. That's the bad part of the motor, the good part is its very powerful once you start "mowing" I placed the word "mowing" in inverted commas for the reason that it doesn't actually mow.
The mower seems to leave patches of grass bent over and not cut. I think I figured out the reason for this; the deck is not 100% level with the ground causing the blades to not all come into contact with the lawn. Only the front of the mower blades cut which is about 25% of the actual capacity of the mower which has 4 blades. Ends up that only one blade cuts the grass. this is a huge problem with the mower and actually makes this mower a very bad investment Buy this mower at your peril.
