My problem is that I'm a perfectionist, I'm never satisfied and always poking and probing at the nails. THIS is what slows me down, its horrible! I'm ALWAYS finding fault in my nails and never satisfied with them, even though others think they're beautiful and perfect. I have a training hand, but those darn click on nails ALWAYS pop off when I file, its soooo frustrating!! I too am an "organized" person. I hate when I'm in the middle of nails and can't find something. I just bought myself the new Light Elegance efile, and you're right, it sped up my service. Excellent, excellent, excellent video Talia, thank you much for all the wonderful tips!

Not putting my head down is my biggest issue slowing me down ! I'm a stay at home mom and I get so excited to talk to an adult I get carried away chatting and I'm always wondering where the time went 😂 Your previous organization videos helped me SO MUCH I can't wait to see what other amazing ideas you have ❤️

Very helpful, Talia. I think the keep looking down tip is an epiphany we each reach at different stages of our careers. This simple reminder is so crucial and most of us, trying to be polite, don't think of it on our own. Thanks again for sharing!

The efile tip is soooo true! Getting bulk down when you know how to file properly is soooo much faster! The tip I always used to give girls when I was teaching was to use less product. We found trainees always think hiding things with more acrylic will be fine but most likely you can file a lot of things out, but hiding them and applying more acrylic just means more filing and more time :) so less is less hahaha

I got myself an efile shortly after I finished my nail tech course but I was so scared to use it on clients at first. I practiced on myself. It still took so long until I decided to turn it up to what you recommended 3/4 speed and presto. What a difference. Thank you for the tips. Love your channel. On a side note, I live in Newfoundland and we have next to no access for additional training.

I have been a nail tech for 22 years. But for the last 10 years I have been working in a natural only holistic spa. So I recently as of yesterday started working at a regular hair salon with my own nail room. I did my first full set the same way I have for decades but this time it took me 4 and a half hours! Plus I wasn’t happy with them. My client was so that’s good but those little imperfections haunt me for days. I just ordered one of those silicone hands to practice on so I can work off all the rust!

Great Tips. Love every point you gave. I've actually just started using my efile in my finish filing recently and it cut my final hand filling time down in half. I don't know why I didn't do bulk with my efile from the start.

Well put together!!! I'm not someone that needs to speed up services as I am 1 hour to 1:20 max but I think this video will help a ton of people starting out in this industry. I know it sure would have for me when I started in 2010! So well done!

Hi! Thank you so much for the tips! How long do you think removing dip powder and applying a whole new color should take approximately?

Great tips! Thank you for taking the time to creat and share this video! With only a few clients, I need to get working more on my trainer hand and start timing.. and when I can afford it, more classes!!!

I sometimes run into problems with product removal 😣 we are only allowed to do soak offs in the salon I work at and clients lie all the time about what products are on their hands because it’s an extra charge to remove it.

Just ordered a new efile! I think mine is just dying because it is taking me a hour to file down & prep the nails. Plus it's heavy. Thanks for the tips! Love it!!!

bravo. as a client I don't WANT to spend 3 hours at the salon. even for perfect nails. there's a balance. after all, I'm coming back in 2 weeks for something new anyway. great nails aren't necessarily perfect nails. however...im now doing my own as I haven't found a great tech after moving. the shape is SO important and it seems that salons here just work until the hour is up, then slap on some top coat and give you the bill. after practicing for 2 months I FINALLY have my first great set!
