did you try in safemode, or program called unlocker?

disconnect from internet go into safemode and try and scan gmer, if its a dll your have to use regsvr32 /u to unregister the dll file then your be able to delete it.

Run a scan with malwarebytes see if that deletes it, also empty they temp folder

This works.   Brilliant.  I had a corrupt file from my camera stored in My Pictures.  The file wouldn't open or delete. Even hovering the mouse over it would close down the screen.  Couldn't even open the properties of this file.  Using the advice here, I managed to delete it.  Can't thank you enough.

try typing first
attrib -r -s -h "filename"
then try the del command

where is the file located? try use a free program called unlocker to try and kill process and delete file.

Have you tried in safemode, also you can do a online scan and maybe make a bootable virus rescue disc

You can't do this on a CD/R disc, once you have burned a disc the data is there forever

Do you have the name of the file and where it is located?

you know you can just do properties on the my computer or computer and then click previous versions at the top and select the previous version that hd everything in it and your done

Type regsvr32 /u filename.dll where filename is the name of the file that you like to unregister.

also try unlocker to delete file, and run malwarebytes
