Thank you so much for uploading this series. This is invaluable to me. I am just about to begin my first industrial-scale harvest, I got into the wine field through an applied biology BSc, then an MSc wherein my research was on wine yeasts. I fell in love with the art come science of winemaking throughout my study however I never studied viticulture before. It wasn't necessary for my study; which was focused on the ecology of wine yeasts whilst fermenting (complex mixed culture of 8 different yeasts). Now in prep for the viticulture side of my harvest internship, I looked for viticulture info at the scientific level so to speak. I didn't want it from a textbook/in text form so I searched Youtube and found your channel. I am already so pleased and grateful and I haven't even gotten halfway through this playlist. I can't find the quality, depth and completeness of information that is in your videos anywhere else. Amazing stuff, thank you!!!

Thanks for doing this. Too many videos are 'learn how to grow grapes in 5 minutes!' which just reeks of BS. This is so much better.

Hi Tom. New subscriber. First, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I'm looking forward to going through your series as someone absolutely new to growing grapes. My goal is to have enough for fresh eating for myself and my family & friends. I live in Columbia, SC zone 8a. What variety would you suggest for me? I have planted two concord vines on a 16 foot cattle panel arch - one on either side. Not what I was hoping to plant, but it's all my local nurseries carry. Can you suggest online retailers who would carry heat tolerant varieties? I don't care for muscadine. Thank you in advance!

Tom, mygreathanks. from the philippines. do not know if you have anything to say about growing here. no snow, just a rainy season - could start mid-May or, like now, the rains are still far few in between, and then of course, a dry one - no more rains or an occasional welcome surprise starting October. November could bring some coolness from the north of us, thru December and the coolness can last up to February and March then brings the summer heat. passion. indeed. bless you. stay safe in this time of uncertainly, and strong
