No, its unlikely to happen. The party of the greens wants a speedlimit of 130kmh for the Autobahn but for getting over 50 percent in the Parlament they will probably go together with the FDP who are strictly against the speedlimit (SPD also against it). So the greens said they would not do a speedlimit so they can build a coalition with the fdp.
Btw the most likely coalition to happen is the so called "Ampel Koalition" english: "traffic light coalition" with the 3 parties of the Grüne, FDP and SPD. The Greens are the only party who want a speedlimit for the complete Autobahn. 👍

It is a unlikely possibility, but personally I would be all about it for a few reasons. You still get everywhere pretty fast even if the speed limit is 140 or 150kmh (86 to 90mph) you have less car accidents than before, for the simple reason that you have a lot less foreign people people come here just to risk there's and other lives with speeding like loonatics, you have less construction sites on the highway, because the streets don't get worn out that fast, which means there is even lower the chance of an accident. And all of it reduces the CO2 emissions by a lot

The automotive industry is quite defensible in this country. Like a porcupine. It's not that easy. In addition, you have to reach the top speed first, between the construction sites. There are construction sites here that are so long that you can see them from space and take a long time for generations of construction workers to work there. Construction workers are not hired here, their job is passed on to the descendants. A speed limit hasn't been agreed on as of yet, but I sure hope there will be one installed sooner or later. Both SPD and Grüne want 130 km/h on the Autobahnen, the FDP doesn't. 65% of the German population favors it also, so just let's wait and see. Social darwinism does happen on the Autobahn - I am German and I know, what I am talking

Naja, ich würde ja sagen das so nen Tempolimit mit den Elektroautos einhält, die meisten Elektroautos für die breite Masse können (zur Zeit) max ca 150 km/h fahren..Tempolimit durch die Hintertür sozusagen!! ^^
