Here we review the SPYPOINT Link Micro S Solar trail camera. This is SPYPOINT's solar powered version of the Link Micro. If you are in the market for a new trail and game camera, and are tired of spending too much money on endless disposable batteries, watch this before you buy!

This has the ability to be a game changer for your deer, hog, elk, or other game hunting areas! This camera combines the the benefits of a cellular camera and solar capabilities to make it ideal for any backcountry or remote hunting areas.

Here is what the SPYPOINT website says about it:

The LINK-MICRO-S-LTE from SPYPOINT gives you the incredible battery life of our integrated solar panel technology and free LIT-10 rechargeable lithium battery pack, with the value you would expect from our LINK-MICRO family. Save money by making fewer trips to your hunting property to change batteries, check cards, and by never buying batteries again.

The LINK-MICRO-S-LTE connects to the LTE cellular network, ensuring that the camera can provide years of service in the ever-evolving landscape of cellular network technology.
• 10 megapixels
• 80-foot detection and flash range
• 0.4 second trigger speed

The LINK-MICRO-S-LTE comes with the new LIT-10 rechargeable lithium battery pack included, a $49.99 value, which is charged directly by the integrated solar panel. The LIT-10 battery pack replaces the standard battery tray of the LINK-MICRO design, for foolproof installation.

The solar sounds good. I have the non solar option. Lithium batteries are the only way to go without solar. It also depends how often you want the camera to transmit photos. Good review.

Great camera and features. Seems like it’s worth it for long term use and battery costs.

Dang, only getting a month on the batteries? What settings are you running? I could usually get 2-3, but I just had it on a trail not a feeder. I did a video on the setup as well and like the camera a lot. Have you checked out the Tactacam reveals? I did a comparison video on my channel and actually lean towards the Tactacam. It seems more reliable, but is missing some features the spypoint has. Good review though, and I’m so happy they are making cell cameras that are budget friendly now!

great review WTHG's. have you noticed any of your older deer picking up where the camera is located? I hunt heavy pressured deer in SW Michigan and now put my camera's up about 10' or so to avoid discovery by deer or camera thieves. thank you.

Those are great cameras. Depending on where you hunt, some people may need to get the signal booster. We hunt in throckmorton and have the boosters on both cameras

Thanks for this was quite helpful. Since there is no charger for the lithium battery (like I get when I purchase new landscape photography mirrorless cameras) do you just put the battery in the camera then charge it from there. (This is probably a dumb question.)

Need an update for after a year or two. Seems most SPYPOINT, at least from a lot of folks, stop working after a year. I’ve got 1 that has started to act up after 11 months. Regular Link, not the included solar. I put a solar charger on it though.

Where I live there are cougars, coyotes and other creatures running around at night. How clear is the night vision? Just showing SOMETHING, or can you see what it is? And can you only see something if there is movement or can you access the camera at any time from your phone?

Just a quick question since you guys have much experience with all of these cameras...i have tresspasers on my land regulary and i was thinking of using these cameras to catch them...is there an no-flash option on them? My house is in the middle of forrest with no electricity so hence my question (i live in europe btw). And if you have any other good advice on using these types of camera for catching trespassers?Standard surveillance cameras are big, ugly and easy to see so i like these hunting ones...was thinking of buying Spypoint Solar Dark.

Had 2 and both died fast. You would think a camera that was out in the open could withstand rain. These both had their internals die due to rain soaked electronics.

Please ignore my previous question. I see what I was missing.

They cannot handle rain. I had 2 solar, and they both leaked and shorted out. Non-solar can handle the rain, but not the solar ones.
