That’s a star schema in Excel right there.
The other day I had a snowflake schema in excel, so I had to nest two VLOOKUP-statements inside one another to get the result I wanted.
All this works fine on small data models. For more complex things I prefer the Data Model.

Excellent as always, sir! Just wanted to point out the less "dangerous" way to evaluate formulas. Select the cell with the formula you want to evaluate (stay out of edit mode), then go to Formulas>Formula Auditing Group>Evaluate Formula (Office 365). In the resulting popup window, click Evaluate to step through your formula. Hope this helps.

I used INDEX-MATCH for Unit Price [ROUND(VLOOKUP(C5, $G$7:$H$10, 2, FALSE)*(1-INDEX($J$7:$K$13, MATCH(D5, $J$7:$J$13, 1), 2)), 2)] so I didn't need the Cost Equivalent "helper column". Your videos always inspire me to try new ways to solve problems. Thanks!
