just what I was waiting for, if you do a great job as your others, this will be a series of videos that will be great as a reference. for the price why did you pick this one over the others, and no audio. I would do the same but i have no basement or attic. and you have a busy family.

for 1TB HD. if yuo record in 720p, how many days of videos can be stored before it overlaps the oldest videos?

Is there any way to lock the adjustable ball joint in place on the bullet cams? If not how tight is the adjustment? Could it be moved around by like a strong wind? Would you need to readjust the position over time or is it pretty solid once you adjust it.

I purchased the amcrest dome cameras as a replacement for one that went bad but its not working, I have 2 they do the same thing power up The led IR's light up but no signal do I have to use a amcrest dvr??? or should me current 8 channel dvr still work.

Great video. When I looked up this model it says it's only 3TB and I can't find a 4TB version.

Just got mine today and have been messing with it for a few hours. Few questions for you, is the fan in yours as Loud as a desktop computer? I was hoping it would be silent like a bluray player but I suppose it's basically a Linux computer. Also, do your amcrest IP cams work fully with this DVR? I have a dbpower camera and it'll record but only if I set it to normal record. Motion detection won't work with it.

Interesting, my husband installed security cameras at our home, we also have ADT security including a medical alert because I am ill and home alone quite often. I know when he was first interested in doing a security video system and contacted iur security company they wanted a huge amount of money for installation and then of course you have the monthly fee for them to monitor the system. after doing research my husband did his own installation not sure what brand he used but we have been happy with the it one. We can view the camers from any where we are via our phone. actually there were two incidents in our neighborhood over the last year and the neighbor had asked us to check our video and see if there was anything they could use? When on h k he j my doorbell rings I just go to my iPad and look at the camera to see who it is that's ringing our bell. safety first these days. Homes in our neighbor hood seem to be sold with new people you just don't know who to trust so better safe then sorry.
